Research directions

Recognizing the special role of scientific research, both as support for the discovery and acquisition of new knowledge, as well as for the improvement of the didactic activity, our research directions aim to stimulate inter- / and multidisciplinary collaborations with teaching and research staff from the "Ovidius" University in Constanta, or from other university centers, both at home and abroad.

General directions:

  • promoting excellence in research;
  • creating an infrastructure that can provide both research studies and facilities for partners, collaborators, and other interested users in the country or abroad;
  • the use of high-performance technologies in order to achieve a valid scientific quality through publications with international value of the studies initiated and promoted in CEDMOG;
  • strengthening the dimension of international cooperation;
  • training of professionals in the field of scientific research.

The main directions in scientific research:

  • Translational, transcriptomic and proteomic research;
  • The study of human malignant tumor pathology by microscopic, electro-microscopic and genetic methods;
  • Identification and characterization of tumor cells by highlighting specific markers and correlating them with the mechanisms of resistance to treatment;
  • Research with potential applicability in the field of advanced cancer therapies for obtaining products based on modern technologies of molecular biology and personalized medicine;
  • Pharmaco-availability of natural extracts with antitumor, antimicrobial, antifungal effects in oncological patients;
  • Cytotoxicity and genotoxicity studies of the different chemical agents;
  • Ecotoxicology and implications in premalignant and malignant tumor pathology.
