CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE MORPHOLOGICAL AND GENETIC STUDYIES OF MALIGNANT PATHOLOGY Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund
Laboratory Medicine Platform
Laboratory:
The Clinical Laboratory
Flow cytometry and fluorometry laboratory
Activities: Collection, registration and storage of biological samples and pathological products (blood and derivatives, urine, LCR, amniotic fluid, aspirates, etc.).
Processing of biological samples according to the working protocols (centrifugation, sample separation, pipetting, smear realisation etc.).
Application of specific coloring techniques according to the working protocols.
Evaluation and interpretation of the results obtained according to the technique and the working protocol used:
Use of working techniques from flow cytometry (analysis of lymphocyte subpopulations, identification of malignant hemopathies, HLA molecules, determination of autoantibodies, cell cycle study, cell functions, microbiology applications)
Use of TR and ELISA Fluorometry working techniques (determination of hormonal levels, determination of tumor markers, tumor markers, viral antigens, bacterial antigens or antibodies, parasitic, identification of drugs and medicines or cytokines)
Use of the working techniques utilized in gas chromatography (separation / identification of hydrocarbons, hydroxyl components, amino acids, peptones, prostaglandins, carbohydrates, atmospheric pollutant analysis, medicines composition analysis)
Identification of proteins by gel electrophoresis
Quantification of organic and inorganic chemicals, enzymes, vitamins, ions by using biochemistry and urinary biochemistry automatic analyzers
Identification of coagulation parameters and their anomalies (hemophilia, coagulation factor deficits) on the coagulation semi-automatic analyzer
Interpretation of blood abnormalities (leukemia, anemia, thrombocytopenia) on the hematology automatic analyzer
